Republican Doomsday Cult

Category Cartoons

Sure, it seems extreme, but extreme times call for extreme cartoons.  When you have the Republican Speaker of the House threatening a national default, food stamps being slashed while farm subsidies are increased and an attempt to defund a program that has been in existence for four years, things have gone to crazy-land.
Of course, Senator Ted Cruz has gotten all of the attention because he is the most, well, annoying, and he is disliked by Democrats and Republicans in true bipartisan fashion.  Rest assured, though, there are plenty of other loopy annoying guys in Congress.  Senator Cruz wasn't the only one who voted to take $40 billion from food stamps while shoveling money over to farm subsidies.

And don't worry, I spend plenty of time going after Democrats like that mean ol' commie pinko Obama, it's just that when a political party gets taken over by extremists who are ready to hit the doomsday switch, I've got to cartoon a little louder.  Let me know what you think, and be sure to comment, share and nail the cartoon to your nearest telephone pole.

Why is it the comedians and the cartoonists are the only ones brave enough to speak the truth, the real truth, not what the crazies say they are about, but their real bottom line!!??!!

this is unfortunately not an exaggeration. Add to your weekly reading/viewing, please, Bill Moyers & Company. I learn more from him and his guests than I do anywhere else. Thank you for your wonderful comic-commentary.

The rethugs are NOT the republicans of old.
They're a crime syndicate who use the name of that defunct group, and now they're riddled with the teabag ninnies, who don't know their asses from a hole in the ground.
They've got to go while we still have a country, and the sooner, the better.

Extreme?!? When the parallels are this exact, not at all. All groups mentioned have uncompromising dogma, are resistant to facts and reason, and punish heretics. Keep up the good work!

We know about Rupert Murdoch first hand. He came here and bought up TV Guide years ago and proceeded to shutdown any printing company that was union. Where my husband worked was one of them and he had worked there for 26 years.
He also is the crook with the News thing in England. Evil man right along with our Koch brother Billionares who are trying to buy this democratic country with their wealth.
